Steve McQueen, and everything green.

First and foremost, let me explain something to you.
The title of my first post as an independent blogger (see swanandmercy.blogspot.com for a collaberation between myself and my good friend danny) is misleading.
This post will not actually contain any information about Steve McQueen, or really anything green if I can avoid it. I was simply thinking of an interesting title, and this is, quite literally, the first thing that popped into my head. Such is the inner workings of a young, Mancunian female.

So, last night I watched some films. Goodbye lenin, because I wanted to introduce my mother to Daniel Bruhl and I simply adore the sountrack, and secondly The Graduate, which I hadn't seen previously. I have a whole new appreciation for Dustin Hoffman now I've realised he was an incredibly attractive man, and therefore the second film immediately became very dear to me due to the colours in it. Films which contain a lot of colour are important to me, for example, A clockwork orange, Edward Scissorhands etc. I think the colour in them makes them beautiful. This is one reason why I love splatter films, as there's always plenty of red in them. That and the excessive violence.

I had my first experience on a playstation3 today, and watched myself die several times thanks to a poor attempt at playing a rally-driving game. This has only helped in increasing my already overwhelming fear of having to learn to drive soon, before my mother stops being my own personal taxi service. So yeah, keep off the roads.

Ski-training has unfortunately, broken up for christmas. This has led to unprecedented levels of aggression in myself over the holidays, with no contact sport to let it out. Unluckily for my parents, I won't be back hitting slalom poles for another 2 or so weeks, but my mother did call me a 'decent human being' the other day, so I can't be all that bad.

mmmm. I think this will do for now.
chus.
